Erectile Dysfunction or Impotence

Primary impotence (from birth) or secondary impotence (after years of normal sex) are the two types of impotence. It can be characterised as arteriogenic, venogenic, neurogenic, endocrinogenic, mixed, or psychogenic, depending on the aetiology.

Counseling, oral medication, hormone replacement, external vacuum devices, penile injections and implants, and micro surgery are among the therapy options.

• Retrograde Ejaculation; a condition where the seminal fluid is ejaculated backward (retrograde) into the urinary bladder
• Anejaculation or no ejaculation

The treatment options arePharmacological therapy, use of topical anesthetics, micro surgery, psychological treatment and use of miscellaneous agents.

These ailments can be classified as follows:

• Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (Prostate Enlargement) can be treated with TURP (Trans urethral resection) either laser assisted or saline. Open prostatectomy is resorted to in extreme cases
• Prostate Cancer will be treated with Radical prostatectomy

Kidney Stones

The Following treatment options are available:

• Endoscopic treatment, Ureteroscopy Lithotripsy, Percutaneous Nephrostolithotomy (PCN),Open Surgery
• Radical nephrectomy to remove cancer in and around one of the kidneys

Vaso-vasal Reanastomosis

• Surgery including Vas ligation, vasotomy, and vasectomy , which are carried out to induce male sterility

Infertility

• Semen analysis is done to determine sperm count and sperm mobility. Several other tests are conducted such as semen culture, anti-sperm antibody estimation, scrotal ultrasound, hormonal assays, karyotyping.
